Vintage Sweet Grass Thimble Basket with Simons Bros. Thimble

This is a hand woven sweet grass thimble basket.  The detail is remarkable.  The weaving is absolutely perfect. This basket is certainly vintage but I’m not sure of the exact era in which it was created.  It was likely crafted by local indigenous people of the northeastern US.  Included with the basket is a Simons Bros. size 8 nickel silver thimble.  The thimble is in very good condition, it has no punctures and is not out of round.
