Vintage Singer Lockstitch Toy Sewing Machine – It Works!!

Imagine my surprise when I pressed the foot pedal, and the machine worked!  The motor sounds good and hums right along.  The needle moves up and down.  The presser foot works.  The slide door for the bobbin area opens easily.  The table clamp is in place.  There is a portal for an electric cord, but this was not with the machine.  The cover clips into place. Inside the battery door is a stamp “Made in England”.  It doesn’t seem like this machine was used much but appears that it could be!  A wonderful piece of nostalgia or a teaching tool for future stitchy folk!

**The machine requires 4 size “D” batteries which are included.
