Vintage Rice’s Handy Mending Kit with Sewing Silk and Darning Silk

I believe this adorable sewing kit dates to the 1940’s – 1950’s.  Included are 10 spools of darning silk which appear to be unused and 7 spools of mending silk, 6 are unused.  The spools are wooden and stamped "Rices".  There is a packet of new Brabant’s Best Needles and a thimble, possibly Bakelite.  The box is in good condition, there are expected signs of use but no holes and the corners are intact.  And it’s a wonderful shade of purple!!
