Vintage Amerock Carriage House Pedestal Soap Dish

Measures:  2.5” tall, 6” wide, 4” deep

Amerock, also known as the American Cabinet Hardware Corporation, was founded in 1929 in Rockford, Illinois.  Amerock grew significantly during the 1950s and 1960s as demand for its hardware and accessories surged, due in part to the post-World War II housing boom. I believe this soap dish dates to the that era.  It is in excellent condition. The color and weight indicate it may be made of brass and the dish for soap made of Bakelite, but I can’t confirm this with certainty. The dish is removable, handy for cleaning!  This is a nice accent piece for a vintage bathroom, it could be used for its intended purpose or as a tray for small accessories!
