Victorian Era Velvet Jewelry/Presentation Box with Satin Lining

Measures:  2” x 5.5” x 4”

This jewelry/presentation box dates to the late 1800’s or early 1900’s.  The outside is burnt orange velvet, the lining is fuchsia satin.  Inside, one side features a round indentation, possibly intended for holding a pocket watch or brooch. The opposite side contains a rectangular compartment with pleats in the lining. The exterior does have wear to the velvet, the clasp is damaged but works, the top of the clasp must be gently pushed in for it to release.  The satin lining is in very good condition, there is one dark spot in the corner where the round indentation is.  This would make a unique gift box for a piece of vintage jewelry or any small gift!
