Swiss Thread Scissors and Thimble in a Geneva, Switzerland Leather Case

Measures:  Case – 4.5” long, Scissors – 3” long

This adorable sewing kit is nestled in a velvet and satin lined leather case.  The inside top of the case reads “Coutellerie de l’He 12 Quai des Moulins L. Fontaine Geneve”.  The English translation of Coutellerie is Cutlery, so this came from or was advertising for a cutlery shop in Geneva, Switzerland!  The scissors are very delicate, the metal is very thin, there is some tarnish where they have been under the velvet loop.  They are marked Geneve.  The thimble is also very delicate, it has a floral motif around the bottom.  It is not out of round.  I believe the scissor and thimble are steel but may be silver, I can’t find a mark to indicate this.  This likely dates to the 1910’s but could be either side of that.
