Simons Bros. Gold Thimble, Dated 1915, Size 8 with Leather Silk Lined Case

Gold thimble with original leather case and silk-lined interior, with an inscription on the band that appears to read “From (name) 1915.” I can't quite make out the name.  The thimble is a size 8 and is in very good condition with no punctures and is not out of round.  It is unmarked for gold content, so it is probably gold-front, meaning a layer of 10k gold over a base metal, likely sterling silver.  The thimble is hallmarked in the apex Simons Bros. and their mark for gold. The leather case opens and closes properly, with the latch lining up and working as it should. Both the exterior and interior show age-related wear consistent with use but remain solid and present well.
