Measures:  Wood - 2” X 2.5”, Silver - 1.5” tall, 2.25” wide

Raw Wood and Horsehair Pin Cushion:  The bark is still on this piece of wood, it appears to be hollowed out and stuffed with horsehair to form a pincushion!  The cushion itself is showing wear and the bark has some minor chips but is firmly attached.  I have not been able to find a similar pincushion so I’m going to estimate that this dates to the 1800’s based on the materials used. 

Silver Plate and Velvet Pin Cushion:  Simply an adorable little pin cushion, perhaps mid century or a bit earlier.  In very good condition, it’s possible the cushion was replaced at some point.  I am leaving the pins in because they are pretty!
