Ketchum & McDougall Sterling Silver Thimble, Size 10

The pattern on this thimble is commonly known as a "floral star" or "pinwheel" design.  It was made between 1880 and 1910.  It is a size 10 and is engraved with the Ketchum & McDougall hallmark and "Sterling" in the apex.  It is not out of round and has no punctures.  The company was based in New York City. They were in business from approximately 1832 to 1932, producing high-quality silver thimbles and other sewing accessories.
