Established in New York City in 1832, Ketcham & McDougall produced exceedingly high-quality thimbles. The company ceased production in 1932, during the depths of the Great Depression. This sterling silver thimble has a 10k gold band intricately decorated with a floral pattern referred to as “Wild Roses”. It is engraved with “I” in script. The thimble is not out of round, there are no punctures and the hallmark appears in the apex of the thimble.
