Ketcham & McDougall Thimble, Sterling Silver with Gold Band, Size 10, Engraved “E.L.F.” (#4)

Established in New York City in 1832, Ketcham & McDougall produced exceedingly high-quality thimbles.  The company ceased production in 1932, during the depths of the Great Depression.  This sterling silver thimble has a 10k gold band which is decorated with pretty flourishes and engraved with the initials “ELF”.  It is not out of round and there are no punctures, the hallmark appears in the apex of the thimble.
