Early 1900s Tooled Leather “Brevette” Sewing Kit for Travel

The exterior of this sewing kit is covered with tooled leather and rhinestone decoration. The leather handles are still attached though they are fragile. The clasp on the cover does not catch. The maker’s name, “Brevette” (made in Italy) is engraved on both the top and bottom clasps.  Inside the cover is a silver tone sewing kit with small crochet hooks, a needle case and tiny scissors. This flips down and there is a silver tone frame which may have contained a mirror or calling cards. The bottom of the case features an accordioned compartment which has a mirror.  The compartment expands to hold extra necessities.  The interior is lined with pink watered silk.  The main compartment contains pockets for a thimble and small sewing items. There is a velvet topped pincushion in the corner. There are two partial cards of tiny buttons and two bone thread winders as well as a heart-shaped emery. There doesn't appear to be any damage to the silk lining. The sewing kit inside the cover has started to come away.  The leather on the exterior does show signs of wear, the rhinestones all appear to be in place.
