Measures:  15.75” long, 3.5” tall, 7” deep

This is such a sweet box!  The paint is aged to perfection with a nice old patina.  The decoration is simple and carefully hand painted.  The original hinges work great.  There is just the right amount of wear on the finish.  This likely dates to around the 1920’s, perhaps a bit earlier.  I have gently cleaned the box with Murphy’s Oil Soap.  When found there was an envelope inside (pictured) with a post mark of 1924.  Enclosed are a few pattern pieces and an instruction sheet for a child’s outfit.  This will be included with the box.  The box is very sturdy and could certainly be used for display or storage or both!
