It’s purple velvet! All the bead work is in place, the velvet is in amazingly fine condition. The silk lining the inside has shattered but is still there. This was all attached to a piece of card stock, a case of using what was available and making it beautiful. This is a great functional display piece. This beaded wall pocket was likely made by the Iroquois Native Americans around 1890-1900. These were made to sell to tourists at various attractions, such as Niagara Falls.
*Wall pocket only included in sale, other items are my photo helpers :-)
