This is a very academic trio to mark the start of school! The glasses are wire rimmed, in very good condition, dating to about the 1880’s – 1890’s. “Life of Beethoven” by Edward Francis is a tiny book, in good condition. There is an inscription in the front, “Henrietta A Seeley Dec. 1900”. The front cover is just starting to come away from the binding, otherwise this book is fine. “Smith’s Geography” has a publication date of 1845. This book is not politically correct for our times, please keep in mind it was published 178 years ago! That being said, there is some very interesting information and nice pictures depicting the times. For example, Timbuctoo is an actual place, and it's not in Maine :-P ! The book does have some very obvious signs of aging, please see the photos. The front is inscribed “Eben David Jackman Maine”. None of the pages are coming away and the binding seems to be in fine condition.
