Bone Crochet Hook and Small Knitting Needle

Measures:  Crochet – 5.5”, Knitting – 4.25”

Bovine bone was often used for working with wool and yarn – it can be highly polished and therefore makes a smooth tool to create with!  The small knitting needle is double ended with carving in the middle.  The crochet hook is threaded at one end, this leads me to believe that it may have been part of a larger tool, perhaps for knitting on one end and crochet on the other. These would have been made and used in the 1800's.
