Autumn Hues! Vintage Riley's Rum & Butter Toffee Tin and Susy Goose Dustpan

Measures:  Tin – 7.5” tall, 7.25” across top, Dustpan – 9” X 7.5” handle is 8”

I had to put this odd couple together for some cheerful fall color!  The toffee tin dates to about the 1930’s.  This beloved treat was made by Riley Brothers in Halifax, England. The company was founded in 1907 by John Riley.  The tin does have the expected patina and signs of use, the bail is missing but otherwise it is in good condition.

This vintage Susy Goose metal dustpan has its original orange finish and a great retro design!  The Susy Goose company made toys from the 1950’s to the 1970’s.  The sturdy wire handle is surprisingly still in place.  The logo is in wonderful condition.  There are a very few spots of rust, it is in otherwise fine condition and in fact, could be used today!  Even by grown ups!
