Antique Sewing Box, Grain Painted, with Spindle

Measures:  13” tall, 8” square

This unique sewing box is grain painted on the box with natural wood for the spindle.  The spindle has a dark, aged patina. The box is constructed of heavy, dense wood. The drawer is dovetailed and is in very good condition.  The original drawer pull is in place.  The spindle rounds have what look like repairs, however this is how they were fitted around the spindle, and they are all in the same place on the rounds.  The top of the spindle has a small chip that has been worn smooth over the years.  There are also 2 small chips on one back corner, upper and lower.  There are tiny holes, needle size on all of the rounds.
