Antique Sewing Bird

This antique sewing bird is beautiful! It’s in very good condition, with a working spring that easily opens the beak. The clamp is straight, and the screw turns smoothly to attach it securely to a work surface.

Originally, it had two pin cushions—one on its back and another on the clamp—but these have gone missing over the years. The ornate decoration on the clamp and screw adds a touch of elegance, and the wings are stamped with the patent date: Feb 15, 1853.
