Antique Round Bentwood Box with Cover, 5 New Spools Holyoke Thread

Measures:  2” x 2.25”

This tiny lidded bentwood box is reminiscent of Shaker boxes of the day.  This was found at an estate auction here in Maine, I estimate that it dates to the mid to late 1800’s.  The box is in very good condition for the age, please see the photos.

Holyoke Thread was made by the Hadley Company of Holyoke, MA.  This thread is new and unused.  The company was founded in about 1863, I believe this thread likely dates to around the 1870’s – 1880’s.
