Antique Flemish Art Letter Box, Kitten Motif, Pyrography, c.1900s, New York

Antique pyrography letter box made by Flemish Art Co., New York, circa 1900–1915. Made of solid wood with a sweet kitten and floral motif, this Art Nouveau-era piece measures approx. 9" wide, 6.5" tall, and 4" deep. It features a removable center divider, which may have once had a top tab or handle, though it's fully functional as is. The cat head detail is slightly separated from the backing—this appears old and stable. Stamped on the bottom: “Flemish Art 456, Flemish Quality, The Standard, New York.” A sturdy, decorative piece ideal for mail, recipes, notes, or display.
