19th-Century Victorian Green & Black Leather Photo Album with Clasp

Victorian-era photo album with embossed green and black leather covers, gold detailing, and an ornate brass clasp with a white cabochon accent. The front features an oval portrait set within an elaborate gilt border. The spine is stamped "Photographs" in gold lettering. Inside are gold-edged pages designed for cabinet cards or carte de visite photos, though the album is empty. The first page is decorated with “The Photographic Album, New York” in ornate print. The pages have handwritten numbering in pencil. Shows wear consistent with age, including scuffs and slight damage to the spine. A great collectible for Victorian photography and ephemera collectors.
