1909 Railroad Mills Checkerberry Snuff Tin

Measures:  2.25” tall, 1.5” across top

So, a few reasons why I love this tin:  the graphics are lovely, the tax stamp dated 1909, and I used to pick checkerberries with my Grammy!  The berries have a refreshing wintergreen flavor, and they grew in abundance along the mountain path we used to walk.  The Railroad Mills Snuff Company was founded in 1866 in New Jersey.  I don’t know much about snuff, but I do appreciate the beauty of this little tin!
