1800’s Wooden Sewing Tape Measure with Brass Handle

Measures:  1” across

This tiny tape measure is made of wood, the handle to wind it back in is brass, the tape is a sturdy cotton cloth.  The inches are just a tiny bit bigger than our inches of today.  There is an anomaly in the wood which looks like the start of a crack but doesn’t go all the way through the wood.  This is a simple, rather plain tape measure meant for everyday use which makes its survival for all these years that much more remarkable!
