1800’s Red Leather Baby Shoes and Baby Stockings with Red Stripes

Measures:  Shoes – 4” long, 3” tall, Stockings – 13” top to toe

From my personal collection, I have adored this pairing for years.  They are a unique seasonal decoration though I left them out year-round due to the high cuteness factor!  The leather shoes are in wonderful condition, all the buttons are in place, the leather soles have little to no wear.  The red leather is soft and has all the right signs of wear to show they have been on tiny feet!  I suspect these were “special occasion” shoes.  The stockings are nearly perfect, if they were worn it was seldom.  There are a couple of tiny holes as pictured, and it appears that they were once glued together by a previous owner.  This is not overly noticeable and is pictured.  The design is unusual and again, makes me think they were “special occasion” stockings!
