Simons Bros. Sterling Silver Thimble, Village Scene, Size 10 (#9)

Simons Bros of Philadelphia, PA was founded in 1839 by George Washington Simons, at that time, they were manufacturers of gold and silver thimbles and pencil cases.  The company grew rapidly from there, expanding to include many gold and silver items including (!) tooth and ear picks, earrings and finger rings.  This thimble is engraved with a quaint village scene, some of the engraving is a bit worn due to age and use but the scene is still visible.  It is very slightly out of round, there are no punctures.
