Early 1900's Mother of Pearl and Velvet "Remember Me" Thimble Holder with Sterling Silver Thimble

Mother of pearl and velvet thimble holder with twisted cord handles, featuring a hand-painted floral design and the inscription “Remember Me.” The sterling silver thimble is included.

The thimble is hallmarked on the band and appears to be approximately a size 8–9. The hallmarks indicate that it was made in Birmingham, England and dates to 1890 to 1910.  It is in very good condition with no punctures and is not out of round. There are engraved initials, possibly “EJ,” though this is open to interpretation.

The holder is also in very good antique condition. The velvet shows expected wear from age, but the handles remain intact and secure. The mother of pearl panel is in nice condition with no cracks or breaks.
