Early 1900’s Sweet Grass Thimble Basket with Sterling Silver Thimble "Ada '94"

This is a hand-woven sweet grass thimble basket.  The detail is remarkable.  The weaving is absolutely perfect and the tiny handle on the top is in place – very unusual to find this intact!  This basket was likely crafted by local indigenous people of the northeastern US.  Included with the basket is a sterling silver thimble, size 8.  The thimble is in very good condition, there are no punctures and it is not out of round.  The name “Ada” is engraved as well as the year ’94.
