Vintage Thimble Holder, Apple/Tomato

This tiny apple (or tomato 😊) could certainly be used to hold a thimble but would also be a nice way to present a piece of vintage jewelry!  The outer shell is painted metal, it does have some signs of wear.  The inside has a plastic liner which makes me think this is no older than the 1960’s.  The stem and leaf at the top are a bit loose but not in danger of coming away!
