Vintage Paper Mache Bowl with Cover, Buttons Included

The paper mâché bowl has a beautiful patina. I believe it was made around the 1920's to 1930’s, perhaps earlier. The porcelain knob is in place.  There are a few chips to the finish and some crazing as well.  There are no cracks or breaks in the bowl. The bottom is marked made in Japan with a hallmark imprinted. The buttons are all in very good condition and are strung like a necklace. I believe there are a few Bakelite buttons and at least one Mother of Pearl button.
