Measures:  Darner – 5” long, Thread box – 4.75” long, 2.75” wide, 1” tall, Needle keep – 3” x 2”

These are all Rob’s finds!  The Eureka thread box doesn’t have thread in it but there is a Notice to Dealers attached to the inside.  It contains quite a sturdy guarantee….  There is some water damage to the inside of the cover, but it is not apparent elsewhere on the box. 

The needle keep is handmade of silk and flannel with one of the covers being a butter soft leather.  It is in need of some repair but is lovely the way it is, there are a few needles in it, the back cover was fashioned out of a playing card – another example of make do with what is on hand! 

The darner looks like the handle was used to darn more frequently than the egg, I wonder if the handle was used to darn gloves?
