Sterling Silver Wrist/Bracelet Style Yarn Ball Holder, with Guilloche Decoration

Measures:  Bracelet – 9” around, Total length – 7.5”

It took me forever to figure out what this is!  And then I had to try it out.  It actually works quite well!  The ring fits around your wrist, the straight part clips off and then back on the ring so that a ball of yarn can be slid onto it.  The bottom is a pretty blue guilloche enamel and holds the yarn ball in place.  There is some tarnish on the piece due to age, I haven’t polished it as some buyers like to have a patina on their pieces.  It is marked Sterling Silver and the maker’s mark is “Thomae”.  Thomae originated in 1920 in Attleboro, MA.  I believe this probably dates to around mid-century, perhaps a bit earlier.
