Set of 2 Large Wooden Spools, 12” and 10.5”

These giant spools would have been used in the textile mills of the Northeast in the early to mid 1900’s.  In fact, my grandparents worked in the Phillips, Maine Woolen mills in the 1930’s and 1940’s and I’m sure these were a familiar sight to them!  The larger spool is all wood on one end, the other end has metal in the center.  The smaller spool has metal on both ends.  The spools are in very good condition.
