Mauchline Ware Pocket Watch Stand with Edinburgh Castle Transfer

Late 1800's Mauchline ware pocket watch stand featuring a clear transfer image of Edinburgh Castle on the front. The velvet watch pad is in very good condition with minimal surface wear, and the wooden stand displays only light age marks typical of use. The easel back is intact and functional, allowing it to stand securely.

Measures approximately 5.5" tall and 4.25" wide.

Mauchline Ware is so named because it was produced in or near a small town called Mauchline in Scotland. It is made of sycamore and often had transfer photos of popular tourist destinations. It was produced from the mid 1800’s until 1933 when the last Mauchline Ware factory was destroyed by fire.

Featured item only included in the sale, other items are my photo helpers :-)
