Ketcham & McDougall Thimble, Sterling Silver with Gold Band, Size 6 (#6)

Established in New York City in 1832, Ketcham & McDougall produced exceedingly high-quality thimbles.  The company ceased production in 1932, during the depths of the Great Depression.  This sterling silver thimble has a 10k gold band decorated with scrolls and flourishes, there is a panel for engraving.  The thimble is not out of round, there are no punctures and the hallmark appears in the apex of the thimble.
