Ketcham & McDougall Thimble, Sterling Silver, Size 6 (#7)

Established in New York City in 1832, Ketcham & McDougall produced exceedingly high-quality thimbles.  The company ceased production in 1932, during the depths of the Great Depression.  This sterling silver thimble has high relief decoration around the bottom of the band.  There is a seam that appears right near the size, I believe this is where the thimble is held together.  The thimble is not out of round, there are no punctures and the hallmark appears in the apex of the thimble.
