Early 1900’s Mother of Pearl and Brass Opera Glasses with Original Leather, Satin and Velvet Case

Measure:  Case – 2.75” tall, 4.75” wide.  Glasses – 2.5” tall, 4” wide

The peachy mother of pearl on these glasses makes them rather unique.  It really is pretty and there is no chipping or cracking at all!  They are amazingly iridescent.  The brass has an aged patina, to be expected with the age.  All lenses are in place and clear, the focus button works well.  They are actually quite good for bird watching!  Apparently, somewhere along the way the pieces around the eye lenses were removed.  Please see the photos.  They are still a fine display piece or can be used for sightseeing or bird watching.  They would fit nicely into a travel bag.  The cover on the leather case has come away but could be fixed – one of the hinge pins is missing, the other is there but needs adjustment.  There is a tear in the satin on the inside and the top has faded with time.  The leather has no holes and the handle on top is in place and is not torn, which is unusual!
