Antique Wood Sewing Box, with Center Divider and Contents from Various Eras

Measures:  3.5” tall, 10” wide

This box probably didn’t start life as a sewing box!  It is about 140 years old and may have been used for dry goods in the kitchen.  There have been a couple of repairs over the years, but the box is very sturdy.  The contents are pictured and include a needle book from the 1940’s – 1950’s, some of the needles are in place, the graphics are great!  There are several wooden spools with thread and crochet cotton, a couple of thimbles, buttons, some lacey trim, a handmade pincushion and a tin with a pin cushion on top which has buttons in it.  There is just a little bit of everything!
