Antique Magnifying Glass, Brass with Jade Handle

Measures:  7.25” long, 3.25” across glass

This is a strong magnifier!  The glass is very heavy and thick, there is embellished brass surrounding the glass and the jade handle is smooth with no chips.  The brass around the glass does have some indentations and some tarnish which could be remedied if desired.  The glass itself has some very minor scratches but nothing that hinders viewing through it.  The jade handle – it is absolutely beautiful, smooth and always cool to the touch.  Just something I noticed when working with it for this listing…. My research indicates this may date to about the 1890’s – 1910’s.  What an interesting object to display on a desk or coffee table!
