A Victorian Sewing Trio! Sterling Silver Bodkin, Carved Bone Stiletto, Mother of Pearl Thread Winder

Measures:  Bodkin – 2 5/8” long, Awl – 4.25” long, Winder – 1 3/8” wide

The handle of the stiletto is intricately carved bone, I’m not sure if the end is sterling – it’s not indicated that it is.  The tip is very sharp, needle like in fact!  There are 2 splits in the handle where it meets the metal.  I have pictured this.  The bodkin is tiny, delicate.  It is made by Simons Bros, there is no engraving on it aside from “Sterling” and the maker’s mark.  The mother of pearl thread winder is in the shape of a snowflake, one of the arms of the snowflake has come away over the years but it is still very pretty.
