“800” Silver Thimble, Size 6

My research indicates that this thimble is of German origin.  “800” Silver is silver with a relatively high purity, it means that the thimble is 80% silver and 20% alloy.  The bottom edge of this thimble is beautifully and uniquely decorated with little silver beads.  The top has a star or flower design, depending on your perspective…  There is a line right above the beads which looks to me like it could be a gold wash but I can’t be sure of this.  Either way, it is a beautiful thimble, unlike any I’ve seen before this!
