Measures:  3.75” tall, 6” wide, 4.5” deep

It was mostly the shape of this box that caught my attention, there are so many angles – the construction alone must have taken great patience!  The painted decoration is intricate, there is very fancy lettering on the top which reads either “Thee” or “Thea”.  There is some paint loss, expected for the age and there are 2 pieces of trim on the top which have gone missing through the years.  I have pictured this.  The hinges work well, there is a lock, but the key wasn’t with the box.  The bottom looks like it may have had a padding of some sort at one time, paper perhaps.  The box is very solid and ready to grace a vanity, shelf, sewing area, or desk!
