1945-1949 Casige Toy Sewing Machine, Made in Germany (#1)

Measures:  8” tall, 8” wide, 4.5” deep

A beautiful little machine with floral decorations, it is in very good condition.  The paint is not chipped, the decorations are seemingly flawless.  The lever for the presser foot works well, there is a bit of a hitch in the wheel when turned – perhaps some oil would be helpful here.  There is a needle in place.  The needle plate has some pitting.  The maker’s mark is visible on the plate: “Casige Made in Germany British Zone”.  This places it in the mid to late 1940’s following WWII.  A very sweet addition to a collection!
