The textures and the shades of silver make this a really different and very cool vintage sewing combo!  The mid-century pin cushion is made in Germany, the top lifts off to reveal a shocking pink storage area, the velvet cushion is whole and only has pin holes, to be expected.  The tape measure is an advertising piece from the 1920’s for Curtis & Spindell Elastic Stockings.  The tape works well, it was made by the NJ Aluminum Co., Newark, NJ.  The thimble is sterling silver, size 12 made by Simons Brothers of Philadelphia, PA.  It is hallmarked in the apex, has no punctures and is not out of round.
