1920’s Bakelite Compact, Made in France

A beautiful piece with floral decoration at the edge and on the top.  I believe the flowers in the center are fabric or a technique similar to decoupage.  The filigree work on the top is brass.  There are no cracks or chips on the mirror, the clasp works.  The bottom is stamped “Made in France”.  There is a puff and a paper round inside, as found.  You can still smell the powder!  The Bakelite has cracked on the bottom and on the cover near the hinge, as pictured.  This compact likely dates to the 1920’s but could be a bit earlier.
