Measures:  6” long, 5” tall

I bought this because it’s pretty, and I thought it was to sit on a vanity for jewelry or powder.  But no.  It is a salt cellar!  How interesting!  The wings open and salt was served from the crystal bowl!  My research tells me this was made in Germany but I can’t locate a maker’s mark. This piece is heavy – almost a pound!  I believe the silver is silver plate, there is no indication of sterling.  The crystal has no chips or cracks, the wings open and close easily.  She’s just beautiful!  And she can be whatever you want her to be – I’m sure you have a salt shaker…. 😊
