1910’s Art Nouveau Ring Casket with Sterling Silver Thimble

Measures:  2” tall, 2.5” wide

This teeny, tiny little ring casket has pansies on it!  My favorite!  The inside is lined with the original silk material – this has gotten a little dusty over time.  There is a handle on the lid.  The bottom has one area of damage – please see the photos.  This is only noticeable when it is turned over.  The hinge and feet are in place and without damage.

The sterling silver thimble is hallmarked, made by Goldsmith, Stern & Co.  It is a size 10.  There are no punctures and it is not out of round.  The decoration is floral with a beautiful bird in flight.  The thimble likely dates to around the same era as the ring casket – the 1910’s.
