1910’s – 1920’s Simplex Toaster Model 215

Measures:  9” tall, 7” wide, 3.5” deep

A unique feature:  a top rack to keep toast warm!  This toaster was advertised as being “Convenient in the Breakfast Room, Sick Room, Apartment or Wherever there is an electric fixture”!   And the “Keep Hot Rack Increases Its Capacity!”  It is in fine display condition; the Bakelite knobs are in place as is the original cord.  The cord is quite frayed; therefore, I recommend display only.  The plug is embossed “Simplex Patented Dec 8, 1914”.  The Simplex Electric Heating Company was located in Cambridge, MA.
