Measures:  2.5” X 4”

These opera glasses are absolutely pristine!  The mother of pearl is perfectly intact, the brass is shiny and without tarnish, the lenses are clear, and the focus knob works easily.  They are marked LeMaire Fabt Paris.  These are likely from the early 1900’s, the LeMaire firm was in business until 1955.  The leather case is also in very good condition, the fuscia silk lining is gorgeous!  The velvet around the inside top of the base is flawless.  There are 2 dark circles in the top of the case as shown in the photos.  The bumblebee button and latch are perfect and work well.  The leather outside of the case has a few areas of wear but nothing concerning, and the top handle is firmly in place.  I really think this was tucked away for years and forgotten about!
