1890’s French’s Fine Extracts Jamaica Ginger Box with 3 Bottles

Measures:  Box – 5.5” tall, 7” deep, 5.5” wide, Bottles – 5” tall, 2” wide

What a nice example of early advertising and packaging!  And yes, this is the French’s that is famous for mustard!  This box is in very good condition, the corners are finger jointed, the original wooden divider is in place and there are 3 of the original bottles included!  The label on the front of the box has some damage but is colorful and readable.  The slide top fits into place but doesn’t slide all the way closed, perhaps it would with encouragement, but I don’t like to force it!  The bottles are also in very good condition, all 3 have labels, 2 have corks and remnants of paper toppers.  The bottle without the cork does have a chip in the rim, this is the only damage on the bottles.  One of them even has a couple air bubbles in the back, a great indication of age!  This was discovered at an estate auction here in Maine at an 1800’s General Store!
